Biography of the Artist and owner of Deep Desert Enterprises
Steven P. Love
I grew up in Michigan but
moved to Arizona in 1995 to escape the cold Michigan Winters. I
started a Solar Power business, repaired TVs and also dabbled in
freelance delivery services during my early years in Arizona, but
I've aways had a secret passion for art and photography.
I did not get my first computer, a Gateway Laptop, until 2002. This was when I gained my first exposure to the Internet and the media of Digital Art and Digital Photography. Most of my prior artistic experience was in the traditional mediums of oil and air brush painting and some film photography. Digital was a brand new medium for me to explore. Being a fan of Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Surreal art I started off my Digital exploration by creating Sci-Fi Art using simple programs such as Microsoft Picture It and a free program I downloaded from the Internet called GIMP.
I posted my first creations in a gallery at a site known as ELFWOOD back in 2004, where I still have a gallery today.
I also took up Digital Photography at about the same time using a little 4 megapixel Fuji A340.
After that my knowledge of Digital Art and Photography then began to grow at an almost geometrical rate. After many collaborations with other artists and a few commissions I decided to take my skills into the professional realm in 2006.
My first professional camera was an Olympus E-300. I used that to take stock oriented photos which are still for sale on the micro stock sites iSTOCK, BIGSTOCK and FOTOLIA.
I have since upgraded to an Olympus E-510, Photoshop CS2 and a MacBookPro Laptop for my Photo editing and Digital renderings.
I have also expanded my art and photography galleries to include ALAMY, DREAMSTIME, IMAGEKIND and REDBUBBLE.
In late 2007 I decided to go full time into my Digital Art and Photography services. I still sell solar power systems and I still do an occasional TV delivery but that kind of work is now secondary to my Photography and Art services.
My client list to date includes;
Avondale Family Dental Care
Ashley Dickerson (who became 1st Runner Up in the 2007 Ms. Arizona Pageant)
Book Author Shirley Cheng
Ice Tango
and Clive Van
Rensburg of Van Rensburg Photo.
My hope is to continue to build up my new business and become an outstanding Photographer and Artist servicing both the public and business community of Arizona and beyond.
Thank you for visiting.
